Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design and testing of mechanical systems and products. This role requires a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and the ability to solve complex problems from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems for advanced equipment.
• Apply mechanical design principles and use CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or NX for component modeling, including mechanics, statics, dynamics, thermal, vibration, and finite-element analysis.
• Create detailed part and assembly drawings for fabrication.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on product development and process improvement projects.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs.
• Conduct hands-on research and gather data to support engineering decisions.
• Participate in technical concept and design reviews.
• Review mechanical assembly work instructions for technical publications.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Creo Parametric, or NX).
• Familiarity with mechanical system modeling including thermal and vibration.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with precision optics, lasers, and motion components.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO).
• Experience with precision measurement and heat transfer.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, including experience with PDM and fundamental design skills.
• High-end analysis skills and FEA experience.
• Experience in a research and development setting, focusing on new product introductions.
• Industry experience with tight tolerances, kinematic motion, semiconductor manufacturing, and high-speed motion.
  
  

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
