About the Role

Develop Mechanical designs, covering the entire process from concept to detailed design.

Job Responsibilities

• Produce mechanical design from concept to detail design.
• Responsible for the design contents as assigned together with its follow-up for Authority and Client’s approval.
• Assist in liaison and coordination with Local Authority Departments to obtain approval on design projects.
• Responsible for the preparation of design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for the design projects under supervision of senior engineers/ managers.
• Reporting to line manager and ensure regular progress update to line manager / senior engineers project managers.
• Work under the supervision of senior engineers / supervisor and perform work task assigned.
• Participate in the progress meetings and workshops for design projects, with other disciplines.
• Coordinate with other discipline engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design projects.
• Participate in coordination process, including in virtual coordination requirement, interface with other disciplines.
• Assist in production of drawings on CAD and BIM Revit model for M&E works working with drafting and modelling team.
• Maintain proper records of all issued & received documents and reports.
• Perform regular documents and housekeeping work in the project directory.
• Participate the CSD coordination meetings with other disciplines and modelers. To identify all the CSD/SEM issues, prepare and distribute the issues accordingly.
• Follow up with the project team on CSD and BIM model updates.
• Support Project Team for Presentations with BIM-Model and related activities.

Job Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of design experience in building or infrastructure projects, especially in large-scale infrastructure and railway projects.
• Experience in Mechanical and Electrical infrastructure, like metro and railways, is a plus.
• Strong grasp of design theory with a solid academic background.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Knowledge of local building codes and submission procedures.
• Team player who can work independently when needed.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency in computational software is a must.
• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong academic record.
• Be a graduate member of a professional institute.
• Willing to accept fixed term contract of 2 years
