LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT: 100 Whaler Way, Edgewater, FL 32141
JOB DUTIES: Review and approve mechanical component specifications. Assign and delegate tasks to Engineers Levels I and II. Complete engineering of assigned systems of a boat including fuel system, fresh water, raw water, black water, air conditioning, hydraulic steering system, power generation, water maker, refrigeration system, air heater system, and drainage. Complete engineering of purchased parts and hardware development. Lead internal and external engineering reviews to ensure systems meet internal and external expectations. Provide accurate material and component specification for the sourcing of new and replacement components. Work with suppliers on the development of new systems and components to ensure. Continuous improvement in the quality and value of our boats systems. Ensure that new designs and components meet cost, performance, and functional requirements for new and current product development programs.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, naval architecture, marine engineering or related.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 5 years of experience as mechanical development engineer, design engineer or related.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Must have some work experience with each of the following: (1) Develop resin transfer molding (RTM) part and tooling processes; (2) Develop the helm console, fiberglass, and supplier parts to meet compliance and ergonomic requirements; (3) Develop thermoformed ABS parts to meet compliance and ventilation needs for bilge vent box; (4) Develop steel bulkheads for structural support for the hull liner during the foaming process; and (5) Build a liner part that fits inside the hull to house all systems and meet structural requirements.
