We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Manager to lead our West Coast operations and play a key role in driving the success of our product design and development business. In this role, you’ll oversee cross-functional teams, guide end-to-end product development efforts, and ensure operational excellence across engineering, client services, and business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the West Coast product development team.
• Manage cross-disciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, software, and industrial designers.
• Guide products from concept through production, ensuring delivery of high-quality, manufacturable designs.
• Champion design thinking, user-centric development, and agile methodologies across projects.
• Drive business development by cultivating client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
• Monitor project progress, resource allocation, and team productivity to meet client timelines and internal targets.
• Oversee office budgets, project profitability, and P&L performance.
• Partner with senior leadership to align operational goals with strategic company objectives.
• Foster a creative, collaborative, and fast-paced culture rooted in accountability and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards including ISO 13485 and FDA design controls when applicable.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Leadership & Business Strategy:

• 8+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering/product development teams.
• Strong business acumen with exposure to functions like sales, finance, and marketing.
• Track record of scaling teams, developing talent, and driving business growth.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to lead through ambiguity and drive innovation.

Product Development Expertise:

• Experience transitioning complex physical products from early-stage concept to production.
• Deep understanding of product development lifecycles, from ideation through manufacturing handoff.
• Familiarity with regulatory pathways, certification processes, and quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485).
• Proficiency in working with clients in industries such as consumer electronics, medtech, industrial design, or IoT.
