Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a solid background in process industries, specifically in the food processing sector. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in creating 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and have a strong understanding of mechanical design principles. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems for food processing applications.
• Create 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Ensure accurate and efficient design through AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Utilize Vault (PLM) for product lifecycle management and data management.
• Perform mass balances, process flow diagrams (P&IDs), and general process analysis.
• Design sheet metal components and conduct general mechanical design calculations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Engineering and Project Management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical and machinery standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project success.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Mechanical Design Engineer in process industries, with food processing experience being a significant advantage.
• CAD Skills: Proficient in creating 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings, with strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• PLM: Strong working knowledge of Vault (PLM) for data management.
• Process Knowledge: Good understanding of mass balances, P&IDs, and general processing in industrial settings.
• Mechanical Design: Experience in manufacturing processes, sheet metal design, and general mechanical calculations.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and familiar with ERP systems.
• Communication & Teamwork: Strong team player with a customer-oriented attitude and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Standards Knowledge: Preferred familiarity with machinery directives and standards, such as EN60204-1, EN13849-1/2, EN60079-14, ISA88/106.
• Attributes: Proactive, accurate, flexible, and able to work efficiently under pressure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
