Job Description

We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our team in Flower Mound, Texas. This role will focus on generating detailed assembly, weldment, and component drawings based on the master model layout. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that engineering rework is accurate and that drawing changes are properly implemented. The role also involves performing mathematical calculations to verify dimensions and conversions, managing timelines and budgeted hours, and supporting activities related to parts orders and manufacturing problem investigations.

Responsibilities

• Generate assembly, weldment, and component detail drawings based on the master model layout.
• Perform mathematical calculations to verify dimensions and conversions.
• Manage assigned projects, including adhering to budgeted hours and timelines.
• Load BOMs and drawings into SAP for replacement parts orders.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues related to project assignments, including verifying engineering rework and confirming drawing changes.
  
  

Requirements

• Experience performing mechanical engineering drafting and design work in Inventor or SolidWorks (ACAD is a plus).
• Machinery design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of sheet metal and welding practices.
• Minimum of three (3) years of mechanical and/or engineering drafting experience.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in an engineering-related field (e.g., Computer-Aided Design and Drafting, Architectural Design).
• Must be able to work onsite in Flower Mound, Texas (near Dallas).
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
