A highly successful power solutions business is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a 12-month contract (Outside IR35) to support the 3D development of their products.

This role will involve converting 2D drawings from AutoCAD into 3D models using SolidWorks, as well as contributing to the design and development of new products.

What we offer

• Up to £400pd, outside IR35
• 12 month contract
• Burton on Trent, with up to 2 days remote per week

Requirements

• Extensive background as a Mechanical Engineer – delivering for various businesses
• Expertise in SolidWorks (Including recent experience)
• AutoCAD
• PDM
• DFM or DFMA

Role

• Understanding the product suite
• Converting 2D drawings from AutoCAD into 3D models using SolidWorks
• Use of SolidWorks to produce mechanical components and assemblies
• PDM for modelling and release
• Ensure they can optimise build and assembly times
