Summary

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for creating, detailing, developing, and modifying models for the heavy-duty industrial conveyor market. This role involves preparing drawings and technical documents for conveyor fabrication and installation, working alongside and under the supervision of fellow Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers. Responsibilities + Create and develop 3D models (parts and assemblies) using industry-standard software. + Detail drawings of basic 3D models using industry-standard notations for machining notes and weld symbols. + Perform basic engineering calculations for components subjected to shear, bending, and torsion. + Learn and seek improvements in the processes of the Project Engineering team. + Collaborate with Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers to develop concepts and solve design issues. + Become familiar with various manufacturing methods within the industry. + Demonstrate increasing proficiency in the use of 2D and 3D CAD software. + Fulfill other tasks as assigned by the business. Essential Skills + Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. + Mechanical design experience. + Experience in 3D design, manufacturing design, and fabrication detailing. + Knowledge of layout design and PDM systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. + 5 years of experience in 3D mechanical design within a manufacturing setting. + Experience in steel and/or structural design of components. + Inventor or SolidWorks experience. + Experience with AutoCAD. + Familiarity with Vault or PDM systems. + Experience in managing large 3D CAD assemblies. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
