Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in machine design, particularly in the metal fabrication and automation sectors. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing robust, high-precision machinery, automation systems, or similar manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of heavy-duty metal fabrication machines from concept to production.
- Develop 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and BOMs using tools like SolidWorks or Inventor.
- Perform structural and thermal analysis (FEA) to ensure machine durability and performance.
- Collaborate with electrical, controls, and manufacturing teams to integrate mechanical systems.
- Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of new designs.
- Continuously improve existing designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineer field.
- 2+ years of experience in machine design
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
- Strong understanding of materials, welding, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with FEA tools and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with CNC systems and automation (Helpful).
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
