Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Cincinnati, OH. In this role, you will play a key part in the design, analysis, and development of gas turbine engine components including airfoils, rotating parts, and structural elements. Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze gas turbine engine components such as airfoils, rotating parts, and structural assemblies.
• Modify or develop component designs to meet specifications, performance criteria, and manufacturability requirements.
• Utilize NX for 3D modeling and ANSYS (Classic or Workbench) for engineering analysis.
• Integrate system-level requirements into component designs and ensure alignment with overall project goals.
• Prepare and support design reviews, generating comprehensive reports, procedures, and proposals.
• Assess new materials, designs, and manufacturing methods for performance and feasibility.
• Investigate component non-conformances and provide technical disposition recommendations.
• Work closely with internal and external engineering teams to ensure alignment and quality throughout the design process.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in gas turbine or turbomachinery component design.
• Proficient in Siemens NX and ANSYS (or equivalent modeling/analysis tools).
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
