We are seeking a Design Mechanical Engineer to join our growing China-based team. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who thrives in a hands-on environment, has a strong technical foundation, and is passionate about manufacturing, product quality, and delivery.

This position also involves new product assessments, quality inspections, and warranty procurement negotiations. Experience in sales support and dealer distribution is desirable but not essential

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical design of equipment using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to optimise products for production and cost-efficiency.
• Work closely with global manufacturing, QA, and delivery teams to bring ideas to life.
• Develop detailed 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, ADR, and international regulations.
• Contribute to innovation, product improvements, and R&D projects.
• Manage quality inspections, product evaluations, and supplier warranty negotiations.
• Support international project coordination and dealer engagement as needed.

What You Bring:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
• 5+ years experience in mechanical design preferably in transport, heavy vehicles, or equipment manufacturing.
• Strong CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred).
• Sound knowledge of fabrication, welding, and manufacturing processes.
• A practical, hands-on approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
