Summary

The client is currently seeking for a M&E Contract Manager on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Singapore.


Job Title: M&E Contracts Manager

Location: Singapore

Position Type: Full-time


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage project tenders and contracts for the company.
  • Oversee the entire tendering process, from identifying opportunities to submitting bids and ensuring compliance with tender requirements.
  • Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors (QS) to prepare and submit high-quality tender bids on time.
  • Prepare and analyze cost estimates for tenders.
  • Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure competitive prices for tender submissions.
  • Track tender progress, identify potential risks, and report on the bidding process success to senior management.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients.
  • Ensure smooth transition of awarded contracts to the project team.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Ensure contracts meet legal requirements, align with company goals, and manage relationships between involved parties.
  • Utilize strong legal knowledge and understanding of contractual terms to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Accurately and promptly submit initial project cash flow forecasts, progress claims, variation work orders, contract payments, and final account settlements.
  • Assist the Project Director or Project Manager in resolving contractual disputes, investigating and resolving complaints in accordance with contractual requirements.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Certification in Contract Law from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial projects.
  • Good working knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with Singapore health and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in software tools for costing and budgeting.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and flexibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and commitment.
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Good business management skills.
  • Willingness to travel around Southeast Asia.
