Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Materials Specialist
Location: Antelope A
Hours: FT
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders when needed for materials, supplies and equipment.
Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
Maintain accuracy of material inventory and locations performing cycle counts as needed
Process receiving of product against purchase orders ensuring proper quantity and quality of product
Process returns appropriately per policy
Evaluate the appropriate Min/Max levels for stocked items
Ensure items have the appropriate barcodes, rotate stock to ensure no items are out of date, perform expiration checks according to policy, and react appropriately to stock outs.
Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Responsible for all incoming and occasional outgoing packages.
Inspection of all packages for damage.
Maintain a detailed delivery log of all incoming packages and identifying all packages that require refrigeration.
Deliver packages throughout the clinic using a cart or hand truck.
Responsible to keep the receiving area clean and organized.
Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
1-2 years' experience in purchasing, inventory control, par level systems, warehouse procedures, shipping and receiving, and asset tracking (preferably in a health care supply chain setting) is desired.
Other Requirements:
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job

Knowledge:
Knowledge of medical terminology and organization services.
Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective purchase and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of principles and practices of health care planning and management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the purchasing operations of a health care organization.
Skills:
Analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action.
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, policymaking bodies, third-party payers and providers.
Organizing work and achieving goals and objectives.
Abilities:
Establish and maintain quality control standards.
Organize and integrate organizational priorities and deadlines.
Communicate effectively (oral and written).
Work independently with minimum supervision
Work Environment:
Storage room and receiving dock work at multiple clinic location
Mental/Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be on feet for entire shift including walking, pulling, pushing, twisting, lifting, and walking up and down stairs carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
