Job Summary: This position will support material operations and includes the receipt and distribution of parts and/or assemblies to maintain production and non-production schedules and/or commitments. Work involves coordinating several administrative and/or technical operations with decisions made within the limits of general practices, standards and policies. Exercise a high level of independent judgment.
• Floor support – Liaison between Build floor – Material warehouse – Material procurement
• Effective root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Interprets written and oral communications to determine and establish job assignments, priorities and methods
• Frequent contact with others outside the work group
• Coordinates with other departments and supervisors to insure a smooth flow of material
• Maintains inventory of material and reports shortages, discrepancies and rejections
• Maintains safety and good housekeeping standards
• Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
• Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
• Keeps abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise
• Actively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities
• Monitors, controls and publishes inventory reports and shipping reports
Compensation:
$30-$35/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
