JJE employs more than 2,000 employees. We are in process of launching our North America Operation, an automated production facility, in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
We are looking for a Material ERP Coordinator to join our exciting team here at JJE!
Job Summary
The
Material ERP Coordinator will facilitate inbound & outbound shipments, lead and manage inventory min & max levels, and ensure data integrity in company ERP system.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develops a deep understanding of overall end-to-end business process and supporting business systems for the entities
- Contributes to the design of ERP solutions to address business process issues or support changing business processes (for example, transitioning a new product line to the facility)
- Acts as an issue escalation path for SMEs, working collaboratively with the site and the supporting IT employees to resolve ERP issues
- Acts as a champion in applying best practices, quality, and data integrity
- Communicates with carriers and schedule appointments for inbound &outbound loads and follow up with carriers, sales, scheduling, and quality.
- Communicates potential supply problems to supervisor and purchasing.
- Ensures proper receipt into computer system/computer data entry/build
- Performs shipping transactions for various computer applications to meet customer requirements
- Works with other staff to maintain supplier min/max. level requirements. Assumes responsibility for overseeing and managing daily min/max. levels as they relate to visual pull system. Maintains and manages storage areas containing purchased, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods. Coordinates min/max. level requirements with available interior space.
- Facilitates inventory accuracy by identifying and initiating actions to reduce inventory errors. Performs cycle counts, analyzes and determines inventory transaction errors, and assists in developing and implementing corrective actions to correct and prevent errors.
- Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information. Input of information into company software (I.E. MRP system).
- Reviews shipments/receipts for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.
- Act as shipping clerk liaison by confirming shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.
- When problems arise, collaboratively resolves issues with employees, contractors or vendors.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment and consistently practices safe work behaviors.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, or equivalent experience required
- At least two (2) years of related Manufacturing experience required
- Must have prior experience entering data into computer and reading and interpreting reports such as inventory, etc.
- Must have experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation
Physical Requirements
- Excessive standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, sitting, climbing, twisting, repetitive motion.
- Occasional periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Lifting products, equipment, packages or miscellaneous items up to thirty (30) pounds unassisted and fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
- Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools

Experience And Skills
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of how effective Material Resource Planning (MRP), Material Execution System (MES), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems function, with experience in deploying new and updated configurations and features.
- Expert on processes and setups inside new ERP system to be able to teach others as system is expanded/launched
- Demonstrated ability to utilize standard and specialized equipment used to perform job duties (i.e. computerized inventory systems). Ability to perform cycle counting activities and have knowledge of processes involved.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Good understanding of production inventory control techniques and principles. Knowledge and experience with a formal manufacturing control system and Just-In-Time (JIT) concepts, principles, and techniques strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good math and written communication skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Efficient time management skills
