Job Title: Material Control/Warehouse Manager

Location: Moss Point, MS

Position Overview: The Material Control/Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing and leading the material control and warehouse activities in achieving objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifies, develops, and manages effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet established cost, quality, and delivery targets in addition to addressing any customer concerns.
• Coordinates and works with various internal departments in monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues to ensure targets are met.
• Acts a liaison between vendors/suppliers and project teams.
• Handles inventory control, reconciliation, and various types of material control/warehouse discrepancies.
• Assists AEL Development/Maintenance in maintaining the Allowance Equipage List (AEL) baseline for each ship/contract for location and validity. Ensures all contractually required AEL items are being received, inventoried, packaged, and loaded on board vessels.
• Works with/assists Facility & Safety Supervisor on all facility repairs and maintenance matters as required.
  
  

Experience

• Must have five (5) years of experience in material control and warehouse.
  
  

Skills And Abilities

• Must have good communication skills, including written, and oral communication in order to effectively communicate with vendors, customers, and employees.
• Must be knowledgeable in the materials used in the construction/repair of marine vessels and the industry’s vendor base.
• Must have solid organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills using MS Office applications in addition to strong problem solving and analytical skills.
