*** About the Project ***

Our client is a leading investment management firm seeking an experienced Markit EDM Developer with strong business analysis skills to join their Data Management team on a contract basis. You will lead the design, development, and implementation of data management solutions using Markit EDM, while partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define data models, and ensure high-quality data delivery.

*** Key Responsibilities ***

Solution Design & Development

• Develop, configure, and extend Markit EDM (Enterprise Data Management) workflows, data models, and user interfaces.
• Build custom rules, mappings, and transformation logic to onboard and cleanse reference and instrument data.
• Integrate EDM with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., pricing engines, OMS/EMS, data warehouses).

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

• Partner with Front Office, Operations, Risk, and IT stakeholders to elicit data requirements, document business rules, and translate them into technical specifications.
• Facilitate workshops and data profiling sessions to define target state data models and governance processes.

Data Quality & Validation

• Implement data quality rules, validation checks, and exception-handling workflows within EDM.
• Analyze data discrepancies, drive root cause investigations, and partner with data stewards to remediate.

Testing & Deployment

• Author and execute unit, integration, and user-acceptance test cases; manage issue tracking and resolution.
• Coordinate deployments in dev/test/prod environments and support go-live cutovers.

Documentation & Training

• Maintain solution design documents, runbooks, and data lineage diagrams.
• Train business users and support teams on EDM usage, data governance policies, and troubleshooting procedures.

*** Required Qualifications ***

Hands-On Markit/CADIS/S&P Global EDM Product Experience

• 5+ years implementing and configuring Markit EDM (ex-Cadis, ex-IHS, now S&P Global) in capital markets environments.

Business Analysis Expertise

• Proven ability to gather, document, and validate complex data requirements from non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong SQL skills for data profiling, analysis, and reporting.

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data quality and detail.
