Marketing Manager


A growing pharmaceutical company with a strong presence across ANZ is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of marketing strategies across its portfolio of prescription pharmaceutical products. This role is particularly well-suited to a marketer with deep experience in retail pharmacy and existing relationships with banner groups.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans across a portfolio of prescription pharmaceutical products
  • Gather and analyse market intelligence to understand customer needs, monitor competitor activity, and identify opportunities in both hospital and retail pharmacy channels
  • Define product positioning and develop key messaging, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with regulatory, legal, and medical teams to ensure all promotional materials and labelling are compliant with industry guidelines
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns, product collateral, and training materials to support sales and customer engagement
  • Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing strategies with revenue targets and support field execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmacy banner groups, wholesalers, and other key stakeholders to strengthen product reach and brand presence
  • Support the successful launch of new products by working cross-functionally with product launch, logistics, and supply chain teams
  • Monitor product performance and adjust marketing strategies based on data, insights, and commercial outcomes
  • Manage the marketing budget, track campaign effectiveness, and provide regular reporting including ROI analysis and recommendations for future initiatives
  • Represent the company at relevant trade shows, conferences, and customer events


About You

  • Ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical marketing, with a strong focus on the prescription market and retail pharmacy sector
  • Established relationships with pharmacy banner groups and/or extensive experience engaging with the community pharmacy channel
  • Tertiary qualifications in a science-related discipline preferred (e.g. pharmacy, nursing, or health sciences)
  • Deep understanding of PBS listing processes, pharmacy business models, and generics market dynamics
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead campaigns from strategy to execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage external stakeholders
  • Highly organised, commercially astute, and capable of working independently
