Role Description
We’re looking for a curious and driven Marketing Intern to join our team at Simply Embedded.
This isn’t your average marketing internship. We’re in the business of solving real-world problems in infrastructure, transportation, and manufacturing — industries that might seem traditional, but are ripe for innovation and impact. You’ll be learning the ropes of growth marketing from the inside out, getting your hands dirty in content creation, product marketing, campaign execution, and data analytics. Our industry isn't necessarily sexy - but it is extremely impactful.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist the Head of Growth in developing and executing growth marketing campaigns (email, SEO, social, etc.)
- Write and repurpose engaging content across our blog, whitepapers, LinkedIn, and product pages
- Analyze performance metrics and help us iterate on what's working
- Maintain and update our website (Squarespace & Wix) with compelling, high-converting content
- Support the teams with lead generation and customer journey optimization through Hubspot
- Sit in on marketing & sales meetings to understand go-to-market planning, product messaging, and more
- Conduct competitive and industry research to support marketing and sales
- Take ownership of small projects and run with them — we’ll give you room to explore
Who You Are:
- A self-starter who thrives with a bit of direction and a lot of autonomy
- Interested in B2B and curious about the inner workings of industries that keep the world running
- Strong writer who understands how to tailor content for technical B2B audiences
- Technically curious — you don’t need an engineering degree, but you do need to enjoy learning about hardware, sensors, IoT, and how things work
- Familiar with or eager to learn tools like Hubspot, Squarespace, Wix, Google Analytics
- Comfortable working with ambiguity, speed and things changing often
- Bonus: experience with design tools (Figma, Canva) or light HTML/CSS
- A post-secondary student at UofC or MRU.
