Our mission is to impact as many lives as we can through tea. As we continue to scale both online and offline, we’re looking for a creative and strategic Director of Marketing to lead brand growth, drive campaign execution, and expand our impact across DTC and B2B channels.


Position Overview

The Director of Marketing will lead Art of Tea’s brand and marketing strategy across all touchpoints—from digital campaigns and physical activations to brand partnerships and website experience. This leader will drive brand storytelling, execute high-impact product launches, and guide a team and agency partners toward performance and alignment. The ideal candidate is a creative executor, strategic thinker, and hands-on leader with a background in e-commerce and CPG.


Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Campaign Execution

  • Lead and execute high-impact marketing campaigns from ideation phase, to briefing, to executing and recapping the campaigns across both DTC and B2B channels.
  • Own the development and implementation of a cohesive brand strategy grounded in consumer insights, competitive trends, and Art of Tea’s mission.
  • Lead and manage the seasonal and evergreen marketing calendar, ensuring brand & messaging alignment across digital, wholesale, and experiential channels.



Website, Merchandising & Conversion Strategy

  • Own the overall look, feel, and UX of the Art of Tea website in partnership with the Development and Creative teams.
  • Lead updates to product bundles, launch pages, landing pages, and merchandising within Shopify to reflect current campaigns and maximize conversions.

Affiliate & Influencer Marketing

  • Directly manage the Affiliate Marketing Manager to optimize program growth, partner relationships, and ROI.
  • Oversee influencer and ambassador collaborations, as well as the strategic usage of UGC across Art of Tea owned Channels to grow awareness and drive performance.
  • Identify and grow affiliate and influencer communities aligned with our brand values.

Brand Activations, Events & Partnerships

  • Lead planning and execution of pop-ups, event activations, and brand experiences in high-traffic and culturally relevant markets.
  • Lead and manage collaborations and co-branded partnerships that elevate brand visibility, impressions, and resonance.
  • Ensure consistency, impact, and delegate support as needed across all brand-facing experiences and moments.

Creative Production & Content Support

  • Support photo and video shoots for campaigns, product launches, and digital storytelling needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external creative partners to develop high-quality, on-brand content across channels.

Agency & Vendor Management

  • Serve as the primary lead for all agency partnerships (PR, SEO/paid media, affiliate, email), ensuring alignment, accountability, and performance.
  • Set and track KPIs for agency output and hold vendors accountable to strategic goals and timelines.
  • Ensure a consistent feedback loop between Agency Partners and the Leadership Team, identifying actionable insights in response to data.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor a growing internal marketing team as well as seasonal interns.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and Operations to align on promotions, product strategy, and business priorities.
  • Promote a high-performance, collaborative, and agile culture within the marketing function.

Reporting & Optimization

  • Own campaign and channel performance reporting. Use insights to iterate and improve strategy across campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends to keep Art of Tea ahead of the curve in brand innovation and execution.
  • Establish and track KPIs across channels (LTV, CAC, ROAS, conversion rates, engagement) and regularly present performance insights to leadership to inform strategy. Utilize departmental growth scorecard as a tool for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of marketing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or director-level role
  • Proven experience managing marketing teams and external agencies in CPG, e-commerce, or lifestyle brands
  • Demonstrated success executing cross-channel product campaigns and brand activations
  • Experience managing affiliate and influencer marketing programs
  • Proficient in Shopify, Klaviyo, Asana, and other digital marketing tools
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Balance of analytical thinking and creative intuition with a hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” mindset
  • Passion for wellness, tea, and brand-driven storytelling

Nice to Have

  • Experience leading experiential marketing activations and live events
  • Background in food, beverage, wellness, or premium lifestyle brands
  • Familiarity with Amazon, paid media, and/or social commerce strategy
  • Interest in sustainability, product storytelling, and community-driven campaigns
