Summary

Job Overview: The Market Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on new market and partnering opportunities to enhance the reach and penetration of our products. This role involves strategic planning, development of sales & marketing initiatives, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, external partners and vendors to drive growth and achieve corporate objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the local General Manager, providing strategic insights and updates on market development activities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business plans to meet corporate objectives for product lines, utilizing segmentation and targeting strategies to optimize market penetration.
  • Design and manage promotional campaigns and marketing events aimed at enhancing brand visibility and increasing market share.
  • Oversee the creation of promotional materials and advertising campaigns to effectively communicate product benefits in targeted markets.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast future needs and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Manage budget allocations for market development activities, ensuring efficient use of resources to maximize impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer service, to ensure a unified approach to market development.
  • Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders and industry experts to drive growth and achieve business results.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during market development activities effectively.
  • Alliance Management for distribution and partnering counterparts.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the company.


Job Specification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of market development experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market, including regulations, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in market research tools, data analysis software, and the MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic areas relevant to the company’s product portfolio is highly desirable.
