What You Will Do

The Manufacturing Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting daily production operations

through administrative, logistical, and limited shop floor assistance. This position acts as the first

point of contact for visitors and phone inquiries, assists in coordinating shipments and maintaining

accurate production data, and supports the Plant Supervisor in ensuring efficient and organized

workflow across the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Perform general office duties such as answering phones, greeting visitors filing and handling correspondence.
  • Production Coordination: Support the Plant Supervisor with scheduling, documentation, and day-to-day administrative tasks related to production.
  • ERP & Data Entry: Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in Visual Manufacturing and other databases or spreadsheets.
  • Shipping & Logistics: Assist in scheduling outgoing shipments and preparing shipping documentation.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Help track inventory levels and coordinate replenishment when necessary.
  • Document Management: Generate and maintain production reports and operational records.
  • Internal Communication: Act as a liaison between office staff, production teams, and external contacts.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Provide occasional hands-on support on the shop floor as needed.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Plant Supervisor or designate.

What You Will Need

  • Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role in a manufacturing environment. Experience with shipping, scheduling or inventory coordination considered an asset.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Visual Manufacturing preferred.
  • Core Competencies: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, high attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and a proactive mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting.
  • Physical aspects: Lift up to 25lbs, able to stand for 4 hours as needed.
