General Description:
Responsible for conducting incoming, in-process, and final inspections utilizing drawings, specifications, and inspection sheets. Generate nonconformance reports and communicate with internal cross functional team of Project Engineers, Buyers, and Project Managers. Contributes in the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions. Sets up and operates measuring tools (caliper, micrometers etc.). Conducts internal process audits for compliance to Parkson’s Quality Management System. Verifies that all necessary paperwork required for quality release for a product is supplied by vendor. Reviews customer documentation for quality requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Review specifications for quality requirements, document and communicate requirements to Sales and Project Management to ensure technical requirements and costs are captured.
- Once the projects are in house, create RFIs, ITPs, submittal packages, in order to achieve customer approval. As the project progresses to the manufacturing phase, ensure that project is executed to the approved plan.
- Support enforcement of quality requirements through supply chain for outsourced items and the manufacturing floor for in-house items.
- Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Responsible for conducting incoming, in-process and final inspections of Parkson equipment.
- Creates inspection reports for incoming, in-process and final inspections conducted at supplier sites.
- Participates/conducts quality management system audits at suppliers and Parkson offices utilizing ISO 9001 standard.
- Manages non-conformance reporting system to analyze quality problems, conducts root cause investigations and determines appropriate corrective/preventive action(s).
- Facilitates continuous improvement activities throughout the company.
- Conducts supplier audits to determine their capability to provide consistent high-quality product.
- Tracks suppliers’ performance related to quality.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred, with 3-5 years of experience.
Experience:
- Previous experience with process improvement activities, procedure & instruction development, supplier audits, and inspection and test activities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- MSOffice.
- Experience with ISO 9001 preferred.
- Experience in performing welding inspections preferred.
- Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, bill of materials.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, able to speak clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations, demonstrate group presentation skills, and conduct meetings.
Licenses and/or Certifications:
- CWI, NACE certification preferred.
Travel:
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
