Position Overview

My client is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and enhancing operational efficiency. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and troubleshoot issues in our production line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for polymer extrusion and related operations.
  • Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting to resolve production issues effectively.
  • Set up and calibrate machinery for optimal performance in the manufacturing of plastic products.
  • Collaborate with tooling engineers to enhance tooling designs and efficiency.
  • Implement process optimization techniques to improve production rates and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and maintain quality assurance protocols.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor and control processes.
  • Work closely with production teams to train and support them on new processes and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, specifically in polymer extrusion and plastics.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems and process optimization techniques.
  • Experience with tooling design and machine setup for extrusion processes.
  • Familiarity with failure analysis methodologies and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
