Manufacturing Process Engineer – CNC Focus

Location: Chicago, IL

A leading precision manufacturing company is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop and optimize CNC machining processes, design manufacturing methods, and assist with quoting. This role is 70% behind the desk, working closely with CNC Programmers, operators, and setup personnel to improve efficiency and ensure high-quality production.

Must-Have Qualifications:

✔️ 4-10+ years in a lapping, assembly, and machining environment (degree reduces experience requirement)

✔️ Strong CNC lathe & mill-turn experience (Fanuc-controlled machines)

✔️ Understanding of secondary processes (heat treating, plating, anodizing, etc.)

✔️ Experience developing manufacturing processes and quoting parts

Nice-to-Haves:

🔸 Bachelor's degree in Engineering

🔸 Aerospace industry experience

🔸 CAD (NX) & ERP experience

🔸 Experience overseeing full manufacturing processes
