Job Title: Manufacturing - Injection Molding Process Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46268
Duration: 12 Months+
Shift 2nd = 8 hour shifts Monday through Friday. 2:30pm to 11:00pm
Require experience in setting up Mold and Processing experience.
We have Sumitomo Injection Molding machines, Automation robots Yushin, Harmo, Wittmann Automation Cells Yeskawa, Ats, Waldorf
top 3 must haves in a candidate 3 to 5 years hands on working with set-ups, process in Injection Molding Machines and Automation.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding machinery, materials, and mold design. Quality Control: Ensuring high-quality products and minimizing defects. Problem-Solving: Analyzing and troubleshooting issues. Safety and Environmental Awareness: Commitment to safety and eco-friendly practices.
Soft Skills: Attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and adaptability. Time Management: Efficiently managing schedules and minimizing downtime.
These Are The Primary Functions Of a Process Tech.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Receives adjustment priorities from the Shift Supervisor.
- Responsible for meeting and maintaining quality standards set by Q.A. Dept.
- Sets up machines with standard cycle time for production.
- Responsible for required adjustments needed to fulfill the product specification requirements such as weight, color distribution, and cycle times.
- Setup molds as required by production schedule.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe working conditions.
- Check and maintain quality of the product being produced by identifying acceptable and non-acceptable product.
- Work independently from verbal and/or written instructions from the Shift Supervisor.
- Answer machine alarms as they occur and address the root cause.
- Communicate with off-going/on-coming technicians.
- Documenting ending cycle process parameter and any tool issues as appropriate.
- The ability to monitor the process and show an awareness of issues and demonstrate corrective actions to address those issues.
Requirements
Education required: High school diploma or equivalent
required Experience: Must have at least 3 or more years of experience in a technical, hands-on position, including Injection Molding or Injection Blow Molding. Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Knowledge of plastic processing and trouble shooting.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to use basic hand tools.
- Possess good hand-eye coordination with manual dexterity.
- Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Must possess own tools required on the technician tool list
- Teamwork-cooperative and respectful of all employees/department.
- Initiative – self-motivated.
- Suggest ways to improve the efficiency and safety of our work and its environment.
