Hexcel is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for our Kent, WA location.
Summary pay range: $21 - 24 hourly rate.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
* Provide day-to-day engineering input and support to production personnel required for safe, quality, and on-time production
* Provide hands on assistance to production and plant personnel
* Assists production operation to ensure lowest cost production, best technology manufacturing processes and attainment of all customer requirements
* Performs reviews of new drawings/specifications and associated revisions
* Provides timely and accurate ERP bills of materials and routings, process planning, tooling design and part sketches for assigned programs
* Develops Cause and Corrective Action determination and coordination
* Adhere to safety procedures and requirements
Qualifications:
* Student must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate in a Mechanical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering related degree program (B.S. or B.A.)
* GPA of at least 3.0
* Computer proficiency required with experience in MS Office and CAD modeling preferred
* Candidate must be able to demonstrate good organizational and communication skills
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawing and specifications, general business periodicals, and technical procedures
* Ability to edit reports, business correspondence, and procedures
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
* Successful applicant will need to fill out Hexcel application and pass a drug-screening test
* Student must sign a proprietary/non-disclosure agreement
