Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to support our Manufacturing organization. The role involves optimizing existing processes and ensuring production goals are met. The ideal candidate will own key responsibilities related to our quality system and facilitate process improvements in a Make-To-Order (MTO) environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area.
* Optimize existing processes and ensure production goals are met.
* Own key responsibilities for the quality system, including calibration, MRB process, production work instructions, forms, and other process documentation.
* Facilitate setup reduction events and mistake-proofing in an MTO environment.
* Lead new equipment specifications, installations, and qualifications.
* Prepare and present capital expenditure proposals.
* Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to identify and execute cross-functional continuous improvement projects.
* Act as a self-starter for continuous improvements by soliciting ideas, specifying solutions, and procuring and executing projects.
* Perform design and shop floor layout work using AutoCAD and SolidWorks as needed.
* Help coordinate and drive safety and quality improvements.
* Play a tactical role in safety and quality system deployment and enhancements.
* Lead special assignments for quality, capacity, and efficiency.
* Work in partnership with Supervisors, Operators, and Engineers.
* Perform drafting and design, and work on BOM and special projects with suppliers.
* Assist in developing and creating machine programs based on CAD drawings.
Essential Skills
* 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Manufacturing engineering expertise.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
* Experience in tooling, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement.
* Knowledge of fabrication, lean manufacturing, and process improvement.
* Experience in metal fabrication and assembly processes (e.g., brakes, laser, turret operations, assembly, and wiring).
* Ability to effectively execute high-level engineering tasks, including planning, scheduling, and leading major cross-functional technical projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
* LEAN manufacturing experience.
* Project management skills with the ability to complete projects.
Work Environment
The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic manufacturing setting. You will use technologies such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks to perform design tasks and collaborate with vendors. The work environment promotes continuous improvement and safety, with a focus on quality enhancements.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
