Summary
Our client is an established, family-owned business specializing in manufacturing materials for custom-engineered solutions. With a diverse product range, they serve industries including automotive, aerospace, energy systems, graphic arts, industrial, optical, and medical sectors. Currently, they are looking to expand their team by hiring a Manufacturing Engineer I.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$70k - $80k Annually
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineer I will play a key part in contributing to new product and process development, driving continuous improvement projects, and optimizing manufacturing processes. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career engineer to grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer I:
* Design machine components and tooling. Produce CAD drawings for fixtures and equipment using SolidWorks.
* Liaise with vendors to define product specifications and coordinate equipment procurement.
* Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to increase safety, reduce downtime, and improve throughput and cost efficiency.
* Conduct root cause analyses and provide engineering solutions to resolve manufacturing challenges.
* Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
* Partner with Maintenance to offer technical guidance and support for parts acquisition.
Required Experience/Skills for the Manufacturing Engineer I:
* Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
* At least 1 year of industry experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD in a hands-on capacity
* Strong mechanical design background with a solid understanding of GD&T principles
* Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to scope, timeline, and detail
Education Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
