JOB SUMMARY The Manufacturing Engineer provides the necessary link between customer requirements and manufacturing processes. Develops and improves manufacturing methods, applies concepts and techniques to optimize processes. REPORTING TO Engineering Manager ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Creates engineering masters for jobs to be manufactured in ERP system. * Creates work orders from engineering masters for manufacturing. * Creates Solid Works drawings (shop drawings, customer drawings) as needed. * Assists in the continuous improvement process throughout manufacturing using lean techniques. * Troubleshoots manufacturing issues to resolve production and work in process problems while optimizing efficiency and eliminating downtime. * Evaluates process flow and plant layout, recommending and implementing improvements and modifications in sequence of operations and equipment utilization to improve throughput, reduce labor and manufacturing costs. * Creates and designs tooling and fixturing as needed. * Commissions new equipment as needed.
