Introduction

The Test Administrator is responsible to conduct efficient and effective testing of new and customised software including change requests and strategic projects aligned to business requirements. This role involves designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and working closely with the development and business teams to ensure a seamless integration of different SAP Modules.

QA Objectives

  • Ensure that new features or changes meet the acceptance criteria defined in the

user stories.

  • Detect and report bugs or defects in the early stages of development during the

sprint cycle.

  • Provide immediate feedback to developers about issues or discrepancies in the

product.

  • Collaborate with the team to resolve issues quickly, maintaining the sprint timeline.
  • Test the integration of components or systems to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Validate that new features work well with existing ones without introducing

regressions.

  • Manually test critical areas that may have been affected by recent changes.
  • Participate in sprint planning to understand requirements and contribute to test

effort estimation.

  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and automation testers to create

comprehensive test cases.

  • Adjust test plans and test cases dynamically based on changing priorities or scope

in the sprint.

  • Focus on testing the most critical and high-priority functionalities within the time

constraints.

  • Help the team meet the Definition of Done (DoD) by validating that all user stories

are complete and meet quality standards.

Roles

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Represent the perspective of the end-user to ensure the product meets user needs.
  • Act as a quality champion within the team, promoting best practices in testing

and development.

  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and other team members to

understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories.

  • Participate in all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint

Review, and Retrospectives) to align with the team’s objectives.

  • Document and report bugs effectively, ensuring developers understand the issue

and its impact.

  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce and verify fixes for reported defects.

Responsibilities

  • Requirement Analysis:
  • Review and understand user stories, acceptance criteria, and any associated

design or technical documentation.

  • Provide feedback on requirements, ensuring they are clear, testable, and

complete.

  • Test Planning:
  • Identify testing requirements for each sprint.
  • Create test plans and test scenarios that cover functional, integration, and

exploratory testing needs.

  • Baseline test cases with BA/Functionals/Product owners
  • Test Design and Execution:
  • Design, document, and execute test cases based on user stories and

acceptance criteria.

  • Perform manual testing to validate the functionality, usability, and reliability of the

product.

  • Defect Identification and Reporting:
  • Log defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, and any other relevant

information.

  • Prioritize and track defects to ensure timely resolution within the sprint.
  • Regression Testing:
  • Manually test critical functionalities after changes or fixes to ensure no new

issues are introduced.

  • Work in tandem with automation testers to fill gaps in regression coverage.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to clarify acceptance criteria and priorities.
  • Provide real-time feedback to developers during the sprint.
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to the Scrum team.
  • Support Sprint Goals:
  • Test features incrementally to provide timely feedback and ensure sprint

deliverables align with the goals.

  • Adapt to scope changes and re-prioritize testing activities as needed.
  • Participate in Retrospectives:
  • Share feedback and suggest process improvements for testing and team

collaboration.

  • Solman :
  • Keep the charms on right status by updating the signed POT's before the CAB

sessions.

  • Regression Test Pack Updating :
  • Keep the Regression test pack up to date with each sprints and help automation

team to recognise automation test scenarios by giving them walkthrough

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Proven experience in Test Analysis or in a similar quality assurance role.

Strong understanding of Sanity , Functional , Integration and Regression Testing

Proficiency in test management tools and test automation tools.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Knowledge of Retail domain ,SAP Testing is beneficial.
