Description
As a Managing Consultant, you will be leading the analysis of construction claims seeking damages resulting from construction defects, changes, delays and disruptions. In conjunction with our consulting team you will be responsible for forensic analysis and development of client deliverables including preparation of, or response to, claims and/or expert reports. In addition, you will provide advice throughout the claim process along with deposition and expert testimony, as required. You will also be responsible for developing and managing client relationships.
Essential Functions
- Identify, pursue and secure opportunities to help clients with the analysis and resolution of construction claims and disputes
- Work directly with attorneys and clients to understand the scope of work, obtain relevant records and manage the performance of the required forensic cost analysis consistent with relevant industry guidance and standards
- Understand typical contract language related to project scope, notice, schedule, delay, changes, and claim development requirements
- Authoring expert reports for submission as part of the dispute resolution process
- Present at mediations and provide expert testimony in arbitrations and/or trials.

Technical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in accounting, engineering, construction management, or equivalent
- CPA, CCIFP, CCFP, CCP or other relevant credentials required
- 20+ years’ construction industry experience, including 10+ years consulting and expert witness work
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills and able to interact effectively with technical and non-technical people
- Recognized expert in the fields of forensic cost analysis;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and a team player;
- Able to work with firm deadlines and prioritize competing requirements;
- The ability to work independently, and as a contributor in a group environment;
- Trustworthy, honest, respectful, and flexible;
Physical Requirements
- This position is physical in nature and the below are considered essential job functions: Lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, walking on roofs, entering and working in confined spaces, working outdoors in hot or cold weather, using necessary safety equipment, performing other duties that may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, or squatting for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to travel without restriction
Work Environment
The functions of this role are conducted in both an office environment as well as in the field. Location in Denver, CO is preferred, but open to other locations as well. May also be required to travel for business purposes.

Hours of Work
- Full-time: Defined as 5 days a week for at least 40 hours per week. At times, the employee may be required to work over 40 hours per week in order to successfully complete the expected job duties and projects. When traveling, employee may be exposed to longer work hours.
