About the team
The National Tax Group upholds technical excellence across the Tax Advisory practice through specialised training. This group leads the development of tax thought leadership and legislation, staying current with the latest developments, including key legislative updates, recent cases, and ATO public rulings and practices. By doing so, the group empowers the Tax Advisory practice to provide comprehensive and timely advice to clients.
The National Tax Group also regularly consults with government, industry bodies and regulators on issues and emerging developments that impact clients, with a particular focus on privately owned groups and mid-market businesses. The group makes submissions and advocate for fair outcomes, reduced compliance costs and an overall better tax and regulatory regime.
About the role
The primary focus of this position is to enhance and leverage technical expertise in State Taxes for the National Tax Group, the broader Tax Advisory practice and the firm and clients more generally. Key responsibilities include keeping abreast of developments in the State Taxes space, facilitating training sessions, developing presentation and training materials, and identifying ongoing training needs.
Depending on individual preference, there is also the opportunity to integrate some client work within the scope of this role.
