Summary:
As a member of the Metals & Minerals Division, the Trader will handle daily uranium trading activities and marketing duties of the Nuclear Fuel Department located in Washington DC. The Trader will execute sale, purchase, and swap transactions with ITOCHU's uranium trading partners. The Trader will establish and maintain strong professional relationships with trading partners for the best current knowledge of the trading partners’ needs. Finally, the Trader will develop and implement comprehensive marketing and sales plans based on a solid understanding of the uranium market. Daily uranium trading activities include but not limited to spot, mid/long-term transactions, visits to domestic/international trading partners, and related administrative duties, such as internal applications and contract reviews.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Communicate daily with uranium business partners (utilities, miners, traders, brokers, etc) in
North/South America and Europe (mainly in North America) and collaborate with them to create trading
opportunities for ITOCHU’s Nuclear Fuel Department.
Execute uranium sale, purchase, and swap transactions.
Provide reports, analytics, and status updates on uranium industry to ITOCHU’s uranium team
worldwide.
Present and discuss uranium trading and marketing strategies on a regular basis with ITOCHU's Tokyo
Headquarters and uranium team worldwide and maximize profit by managing position and mitigating
risks.
Conduct market research and analysis to recommend future development activities.
Analyze marketing programs and recommend strategies and tactics to increase effectiveness.
Build excel-based analytical models in order to solve structure deals.
Draft uranium contracts, internal applications, and reports for internal control.
Assist with analysis of investment and acquisition opportunities.
Trade Book Management through internal systems (Aspect).
Develop and execute marketing programs to achieve investment objectives for revenue, profitability,
and market share.
Domestic and international traveling visiting trading partners and attending conferences are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
4-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, or Marketing preferred.
3 or more years of experience in Trading Business or Investment.
Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, PPT) required. Coding experience preferred.
Business-level English required. Russian, French, or Chinese skills preferred.
