Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and talented Application Development Team Lead to oversee and manage our team of developers in the creation and maintenance of web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the software development life cycle, as well as experience leading teams to deliver high-quality software products. This role requires strong technical skills, as well as excellent communication and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of developers, ensuring that they are motivated, engaged, and productive
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that development projects are completed on time and to a high standard
• Ensure that code is written to meet high-quality standards, is maintainable, and is thoroughly tested
• Implement best practices and ensure that development processes are followed by the team
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Identify and address technical roadblocks and impediments, working closely with the team to overcome challenges and deliver solutions
• Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members
• Contribute to the development of the organization’s technical roadmap and strategy
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of software development.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure on-time delivery.
• Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
• Evaluate team members' performance and provide feedback on areas for improvement.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and mobile applications
• 2+ years of experience leading a team of developers
• Strong knowledge of web and mobile development technologies, including PHP / Python, Laravel / Django, JavaScript, Vue.js / ReactJS / Angular, React Native, and other relevant frameworks and libraries.
• Experience designing and implementing web and mobile applications.
• Experience with API development, microservices, and integration.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and development practices
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and stakeholders
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality software products on time and within budget
