Job Summary
The Manager/ Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts and finance, including managing receivables, payables, GST and other compliance, trial balance preparation and finalisation, inventory management, foreign remittance, financial reporting as per Accounting Standards, and strategic financial analysis (FP&A role). The role involves close coordination with the auditors and other cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivables and Payables Management:
Manage and monitor accounts receivable and payable processes.
Ensure timely and accurate accounting of invoices, collection of receivables and prompt payment of payables.
Conduct regular ledger scrutiny to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure no outstanding balances remain unpaid beyond agreed terms.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports in accordance with IGAAP/ Ind AS.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all financial documentation.
Prepare, review and finalise trial balances on a monthly basis.
Accurate estimation of monthly, quarterly and annual provisions
Month end closing entries w.r.t. Depreciation, provisions, deferred tax etc.
Timely calculation and payment of TDS
Calculation of advance tax and its timely payment
Oversee GST filings and ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements.
Inventory and Foreign Remittance Management:
Manage inventory accounting for owned vehicles and hired vehicles.
Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of inventory levels.
Accounting and timely consumption of repairs, stores and spares.
Banking and Treasury
Daily Bank Reconciliation
Accurate and timely accounting of interest income and expense
Oversee and manage foreign remittance processes.
Company Secretarial Work
Knowledge of regulations of Companies Act, 2013 w.r.t. filing of quarterly and annual statements
Audit Coordination and Financial Strategy:
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
Provide strategic recommendations based on financial data analysis to improve profitability and cost-efficiency.
Leadership and Cross-Department Collaboration:
Lead and supervise the accounts team, motivating and guiding a team of accountants and finance professionals.
Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning, decision-making, and budget allocation.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications
CA fresher or with 1-2 years of experience.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance; minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Exposure in logistics (Commercial Vehicles) industry is desirable
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in accounting software – Tally/ Tally Prime is mandatory and Microsoft Office Suite, (Excel, Word, Power Point).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Working Conditions
Full-time position based at Goregaon East, Mumbai
Occasional travel may be required for audits and cross-departmental meetings.
