Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Operations Manager to oversee the operations of our boutique retail program at The Hot Room. As the Retail Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the retail function, from retail operations, product placement, and on-floor execution to increase retail sales across multiple studio locations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail operations, merchandising, team collaboration and social media engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Operations:
1.Oversee receipt and processing of goods:
a. Enter POs in Mind Body, print tickets, check goods against invoices
b. Unpack, hang, ticket, and organize new merchandise
2.Monitor age of inventory records and execute markdowns
3.Use Mind Body reports to analyze studio-level sales by product category
4.Contribute to local promotions and seasonal campaigns
5.Lead physical year-end inventory and maintain organized back stock areas
On Floor Retail Execution:
1.Allocate products to studios per assortment plans provided by the Buyer
2.Merchandise retail floors based on new receipts and seasonal color stories
3.Refresh displays, mannequins, and signage with each floor flip
4.Manage and implement seasonal décor for holidays and promotional events
Marketing and Social Media Engagement
1.Share weekly retail updates via Prospr to ensure communication across the company and alignment behind retail campaigns
2.Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to create engaging social media content that highlights new arrivals, promotions, and featured items
3.Post approved content or assist in capturing photos/videos that reflect brand storytelling from a retail perspective
Team Collaboration:
1.Communicate with Studio Managers on floor performance and inventory needs
2.Help promote a team culture focused on guest services and creating a positive customer experience
3.Provide product performance feedback to the Buyer
Preferred Qualifications:
1.2–3 years of experience in retail operations or merchandising
2.Strong organizational and communication skills
3.Proficiency with POS/inventory systems (Mind Body preferred)
4.Visual merchandising experience and attention to detail
5.Passion for wellness and alignment with The Hot Room’s values

As The Hot Room continues to expand both corporately and through franchising, the Retail Operations Lead will have the opportunity to grow into a broader leadership role. This may include supporting franchise locations with retail operations consulting, helping to standardize systems across studios, and contributing to training and onboarding materials for future franchisees.
