Role overview
We are a heavy industry manufacturing business, we’re looking for a PMO Manager with experience within the Industrial/Manufacturing/Engineering sector to take charge of our Project Management Office, ensuring the seamless execution and reporting of projects that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the PMO: Define and implement project management frameworks, methodologies, and tools to improve execution and efficiency.
Oversee Projects: Monitor and report at an Executive level on project progress, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and deadlines while proactively managing and highlighting risks and conflicts
Provide Insights: Deliver insightful, succinct regular reports to senior management, offering clear visibility into project performance and potential roadblocks.
Manage Resources: Oversee team allocation, ensuring the right skills are in place to maximize project success.
Engage Stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams, leadership, and external partners to align project goals with company strategy.
Drive Risk Management: Proactively assess project risks, anticipate challenges, and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
Support and Mentor Teams: Guide and develop project managers and team members, fostering a culture of growth and innovation.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify process gaps, refine project management strategies, and implement best practices.
Key Qualifications and Skills
Project Management Expert: Hands-on experience with methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, and Six Sigma.
Experienced Leader: Proven ability to lead teams, inspire collaboration, and drive results. Dedicated to coaching and developing team members to enhance overall capabilities.
Strong Communicator: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, high level of spoken and written English with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Strategic Thinker: Able to see the big picture while maintaining a detail-oriented approach to execution.
Problem-Solver: Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing solutions.
Highly Organized: Skilled at juggling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and optimizing resources.
Resilient & Adaptable: Comfortable navigating change and overcoming obstacles in a dynamic work environment.
Required experience
Project Management Experience: 3+ years of managing projects with successful outcomes.
Leadership Experience: 2–5 years in a managerial or leadership role within a PMO or project-driven environment.
Industry Background: 10 yrs experience in Heavy Manufacturing/Industrial.
Required Education & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Preferred: Prince2, PMP or IPMA certification
Languages: Fluency in English & Romanian.
Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within Romania and Poland, with occasional trips to Turkey.
