Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule development and Control:



  • Fully understand the scope of the project, identify the major milestones and set clear priorities for the project team.



  • Should be well versed with Microsoft projects(MSP) tool to develop L-1/L-2/L-3 schedules and updating it on weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis depending on quantum of the project.



  • Capable of understanding sequencing involved in construction activities of all disciplines and their interface with engineering and procurement.



  • Analyse the project schedules and highlight the critical path/activities on weekly/monthly basis and raise red flags on potential delays/risks.



  • Co-ordinate with contractors for collection of schedules and integrate it based on the approved baselines.



  • Monitor progress against project timelines and critical milestones.

    Project Reporting/Reviews:



  • Co-ordinate with site team to derive detailed quantitative scope of work( upto Level-5) and prepare weekly plan vs actual for construction activities for all disciplines inline with approved baseline schedules.



  • Co-ordinate with all internal stakeholders and arrange monthly IRMs and FRMs. Take accountability for readiness of review reports, prepare minutes of meeting and follow up for action points.



  • Generate weekly/monthly project cost and schedule reports.



  • Provide input for project dashboards and presentations for stakeholders.



  • Co-ordinate with Project managers/Construction managers for preparation of WPR/FPR/MPR and other presentations for higher management.



  • Possess skills to develop EPC and cost control trackers and monitor them periodically.

    Process improvement:



  • Should be able to develop and implement systems to improve the planning and control activities in the department.



  • Develop various cost and schedule dashboards to establish the robust controlling mechanism.

    Cost Control & Budgeting:



  • Track and manage project budgets in coordination with project managers and finance.

    Requirements

    Educational & Experience Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Finance, or Project Management; PMP/PMI-SP certification is a plus.



  • 8–15 years of experience in project controls for capital-intensive industries (chemical, pharma, FMCG, infrastructure, etc.)



  • Experience with both greenfield and brownfield projects is an advantage.
