Summary

The Program Manager will drive execution excellence and operational efficiency of a cross-functional team which is responsible to deliver a new product introduction and/or product transfer for Tecomet’s customers on time and on budget. This role may also manage projects such as capital projects, cost improvement projects or other cross-functional, complex projects.

The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics

Principle Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the Tecomet Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Stage/Gate and other NPI processes and tools to deliver a project to the requirements of the customer;
    • Ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost;
    • Drive assigned programs from early-stage development through testing, certification and production;
    • Plan, execute, and deliver programs on time and within budget;
  • Project strategy & Documentation
    • Develop and maintain program schedules, resources plans, risk registers, and financial forecasts to ensure successful project delivery;
    • Organizes and updates project information for internal and external transparency and visibility.
    • Completes and reports on project risk assessment;
    • Looks for potential gaps in understanding between internal and customer team members and drives for clarity.
    • Completes all metric reporting;
  • Active team leadership
    • Drives project through each stage/gate review and completes required documentation & communications;
    • Schedules and leads periodic team meetings to review progress and assign next level tasks according to the project plan;
    • Facilitate communication between all functional areas within a location to include, engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to keep project on track;
    • Facilitates communication with customer project team including regular interaction in meetings, calls, regular reviews, etc.;
    • Active participant in Mission Control related to NPI activities;
    • Proactively identifies risks, develops solutions and alternatives, and drives to consensus with Tecomet and customer teams;
    • Utilizes Director of NPI and Site Leader for escalation purposes, removal of barriers;
  • Actively identifies continuous improvement within NPI process;
  • Active engagement/problem solving as part of team
Credentials/Experience

Qualification Requirements

  • PMP certification a plus

Experience/Educational/Training Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A/B.S), a minimum of three years experience in program management or engineering within medical device, aerospace or industrial manufacturing
  • Experience working with customers, sales and marketing, and operations is preferred
  • Experience in medical device or aerospace and defense manufacturing is preferred
  • Experience in a contract manufacturer or job shop environment a plus

  • Self-confident & willing to assume a leadership role.
  • Sense of urgency is evident in all aspects of work.
  • Can effectively use all available systems to manage assigned accounts (ERP, workflow management, quoting, account reporting, etc.).
  • Full MS capability in Excel, Project, Word, Power Point, Visio, etc
  • Saleforce, nice to have
  • PM fundamentals
