Role Description
The Manager, Network Infrastructure is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the company's IT infrastructure. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on technical expertise, and budget management skills to ensure the efficient operation and continuous improvement of IT systems. Leading a team of 12+ technical professionals, this is a full-time role based in Woodstock, ON, with some work-from-home flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic plan for IT infrastructure that aligns with the company's overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in technology systems.
Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure solutions. Ensure that the architecture supports current and future business needs.
Budget Management: Manage the IT infrastructure budget, including forecasting, allocation, and monitoring of expenditures. Ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of performance and reliability.
Project Leadership: Oversee IT infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure the best value for the company.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
Security and Compliance: Work closely with the security team to ensure the IT infrastructure meets security standards and compliance requirements.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the performance of IT systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or other disruptions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in leadership.
Proven experience in strategic planning, budget management, and project leadership.
Strong technical expertise in designing and implementing IT infrastructure solutions.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, MCSE, CCNA, or CISSP are highly desirable.
Skills:
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Hands-on experience with various operating systems, networking protocols, and security technologies.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization and cloud services.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex technical information.
Effective negotiation and vendor management skills.
