Purpose:
The Manager, Knowledge Management, Reporting & Documentation is responsible for capturing the full learning journey of the HDC pilot project—from inception to execution—ensuring all innovations, challenges, solutions, and adaptations are well-documented. This includes developing high-quality process documentation that records how the integrated model evolved, what mechanisms worked (or didn’t), and how different components were operationalized.
This role also oversees internal knowledge-sharing, compliance reporting, and communication of lessons learned, supporting BRAC and its partners in scaling or replicating the nexus approach. The position plays a critical role in enabling adaptive management, learning, and accountability, while ensuring documentation meets donor and institutional standards..
Job Description:
Process Documentation & Learning
- Lead the development of comprehensive process documentation for the HDC pilot, including step-by-step narratives of what was implemented, key challenges, decision-making moments, adjustments, and outcomes.
- Document the evolution of the integrated service delivery model, with timelines, stakeholder inputs, and cross-sectoral coordination efforts.
- Conduct interviews, focus groups, and field visits to gather insights from field teams, other organizations, CiC offices, sector focals, volunteers and community groups.
- Maintain a repository of lessons learned, case studies, human stories, and field-level innovations that shaped the project implementation.
- Design and oversee a learning agenda to track emerging practices and successful interventions.
Knowledge Management & Internal Learning
- Build and manage a centralized knowledge database (reports, templates, training materials, key decisions, etc.) accessible to project teams and stakeholders.
- Facilitate periodic learning review workshops and after-action reviews to inform adaptive programming.
- Coordinate with MEAL teams to integrate evaluation findings and beneficiary feedback into knowledge products.
M&E and MIS
- Develop monitoring and/or information management systems i.e. MEAL plan and ensure regular collection of data to track project progress.
- Analyze collected data and prepare necessary reports for project management as well as for the donor.
- Conduct qualitative studies based on project needs to inform program improvements and decision-making.
Reporting and Documentation
- Ensure quality and timely donor reports (financial, narrative and indicator-based) in line with BRAC and funding agency requirements.
- Develop and update internal reporting templates, project trackers, project trackers, and knowledge products to document implementation progress.
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly reports with inputs from sector leads, field teams, and MEAL and MIS units.
- Support technical teams in drafting sector-specific briefs, presentations, and donor communication materials.
- Contribute to final project outputs, including synthesis reports, case studies, and presentations to government or humanitarian coordination forums.
Coordination & Capacity Building
- Liaise with project managers, sector focal points, and field staff to standardize documentation practices across camps.
- Train relevant staff on effective documentation, knowledge sharing, and internal reporting protocols.
- Work closely with the communications team for visual and digital documentation (videos, infographics, human-interest stories).
- Represent the knowledge management function in coordination meetings as required.
Safeguarding:
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Media and Communications, English, URP or a related discipline from any reputed university.
Experience Requirement:
Minimum 4 years of experience in the humanitarian or development field.
