What The Role Is

You develop MINDEF/SAF’s Strategic Communications (SC) policy, strategies, and plans to deepen understanding and safeguard public commitment to defence, build trust and confidence in MINDEF/SAF, enhance our international standing, and maintain support for National Service (NS).

What You Will Be Working On

• Develop and integrate Strategic Communications policies and strategies
• Analyse trends and provide advice on Strategic Communications policy and strategy
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of public sentiments and align MINDEF/SAF’s narrative and policy approaches to the national-level framework and messages
• Drive the operational development of MINDEF/SAF Strategy and Plans Information Hub and plan
• Plan, coordinate and conduct information exercises

• Utilising multi-pronged sources of information to make sense of ongoing and rapidly developing changes in the information environment
• Developing clear and implementable plans and policies
  
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Education in Communication Studies, Political Science, Social Sciences or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in communications is preferred
• Strong command of written and spoken English
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good understanding of Singapore's media landscape
• Knowledge of Singapore's media, political, defence and security developments
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
