Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
The Environmental Services department at Kapi‘olani facilities strive to maintain a high degree of quality service and health care experience by maintaining a pleasant environment for employees, patients and visitors. Environmental Services staff ensure that patient rooms and ancillary areas are clean; trash and bio-hazardous waste is safely removed; and clean linen, laundry and floor care are properly monitored. They take pride in conserving energy and increasing the use of “green” products and techniques, and providing quality services in a cost effective and efficient manner.
As the Manager of Environmental Services, your responsibilities will include managing the Environmental Services Department and working closely with Telecommunications to ensure the effective and efficient operation of housekeeping, linen and telecommunications services for the Medical Center. We are looking for someone with solid managerial and planning skills, ability to identify system needs and solutions and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Five (5) years progressive housekeeping or environmental services related experience, to include lead or supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Current International Executive Housekeepers Association certification.
