Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team in Guadalajara. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS management, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, security, environmental, and labor regulations, including NOM-035 and NOM-037.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Management:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations (STPS, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA).
- Maintain and update EHS policies and procedures in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant standards.
- Oversee compliance with labor norms such as NOM-035 and NOM-037.
- Safety and Health Programs:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety and health programs.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Environmental Management:
- Develop and oversee environmental management programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits.
- Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental footprint of the company.
- Training and Development:
- Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response drills.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, incidents, and compliance status.
- Prepare and submit required EHS reports to regulatory agencies.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on EHS performance and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
- Experience:
- Over 5 years of experience in EHS management.
- Proven track record of managing EHS programs and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Mexican EHS regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
