Your Impact As the Manager of DSP Engineering, you will lead a team of talented engineers to advance state-of-the-art technology for drone detection and localization through RF spectrum analysis. By guiding the design and implementation of sophisticated signal processing algorithms, you will directly contribute to enhancing security and safety in a rapidly evolving field. What You'll Do Location: Onsite in Sterling for 3 or more days a week; other days working remotely. Reports to: Director, RF Engineering Key Responsibilities: * Strategic Leadership: Oversee the DSP engineering team, setting priorities, managing resources, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. * RF Spectrum Analysis: Guide the team in performing advanced analysis and feature extraction from RF signals using Software Defined Radio (SDR) frameworks and state-of-the-art tools. * Team Development: Mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive work environment. Support professional growth and technical skill development within the team. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with hardware, software, and data fusion teams to integrate DSP components seamlessly into larger systems, contributing to end-to-end solutions. * Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry advancements in DSP, SDR, and wireless communication. Identify and implement new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance team capabilities and project outcomes. * Stakeholder Management & Communication: Present findings, updates, and milestones effectively to stakeholders, providing technical insights and ensuring alignment with project objectives. Strong communicating skills, as you will work with stakeholders at all levels of the company, including up to the C-suite. * Documentation and Standards: Oversee the creation of detailed technical documentation for algorithms, processes, and team workflows. Maintain high standards for software and process robustness. What You Bring * Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in a managerial or team leadership role. * Ability to lead teams and communicate challenges in digital signal processing, including modulation methods, frequency analysis, and digital filters. * Proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in developing real-time systems and prototyping signal processing algorithms. * Understanding of wireless communication systems such as LTE PHY, IEEE802.11 (Wi-Fi), and IEEE802.15.4. * Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of managing and mentoring technical teams. * Outstanding problem-solving abilities, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Experience managing cross-functional projects, aligning team efforts with organizational objectives, and delivering high-impact results.
