Summary Of Job Description
The Manager, Data Engineering is responsible for leading the development and operations of data engineering team to deliver end-to-end data flow processes across applications, systems, and various data sources and targets in the company’s data ecosystem. This position develops and maintains ETL processes to ensure the timely and accurate movement of data across various systems while optimizing for performance and reliability. The Manager, Data Engineering collaborates with cross- functional teams to integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring data consistency, quality, and reliability.
You’ll Get a Chance To
- Lead data engineering team and is responsible for hire, train, mentor, and grow data engineering team consisting of PRG employees and partner service providers.
- Architect and Implement Data solutions. Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient data solutions using Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and other relevant technologies to meet business requirement.
- ETL Development: Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure the timely and accurate movement of data across various systems while optimizing for performance and reliability.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance improvements for existing data pipelines, troubleshoots and resolves issues, and proactively monitors data solutions to ensure optimal performance.
- Data Integration: Collaborates with cross functional teams to integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring data consistency, quality, and reliability.
- Security and Compliance: Implements and enforces data security and compliance standards, working closely with the security team to ensure data.
- Collaborate with data servervice leadership to lead and manage data services team operations such as budgeting, technology procurements/renewals, data quality monitoring.
- Collaborate with other team members and leadership to research new technology in data and analytics space and champion adoption as needed.

Your Background And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems.
- Minimum three years leading a data engineering team.
- Minimum five years of experience in BI technologies and developing ETL workflow, preferably in a retail/ hospitality environment.
- Proven experience in data engineering with a focus on Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory and experience with one or more of the mainstream data warehouse technologies and ETL technologies.
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
Pay Range: M2: $112,500 - $158,000 / Annual
- Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
