Summary: The Manager, CNC Equipment Engineering supervises and oversees technical staff. Leads efforts to support and improve all CNC and welding equipment maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
* Manages equipment maintenance and calibration functions
* Troubleshoots, repairs and qualifies CNC lathes, mills and welding equipment.
* Trains team on machine troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and major repairs
* Ensures site critical spares are on hand to minimize downtime during periodic repairs
* Acts as a mentor, coach, and trainer
* Responsible for developing and supporting departmental processes and ensuring appropriate documentation is in place
* Works closely with Production Supervisors, Team Leaders and support staff to ensure equipment is operational and performing as intended
* Oversees the investigation and analysis of requests for additions or changes in equipment
* Oversees the preparation of capital assets and expenditure budgets
* Prepares and discusses performance appraisals with subordinate personnel and initiate recommendations for rate changes, reclassifications, transfers, and terminations
* Authorizes employee time sheets and monitor overtime requests
* Provides work direction and system development, resulting in attainment of strategic departmental and business goals.
* Maintains an effective employee unit through appropriate employee selection, training and development, motivation and discipline, performance evaluation and wage salary treatment.
* Assists in driving the standardization of processes.
* Establishes clear measurable goals and objectives by which to assess individual and team results (i.e. metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, knowledge of roles and responsibilities, personal development goals). Drives individuals and teams to continuously improve in key metrics and the achievement of organizational goals. Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
* Drives a lean culture. Identifies creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).

* 4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management
* 5+ years of experience in CNC troubleshooting and repair
* 3+ years in a leadership role
* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Compensation Range: $137,197.000 to $205,795.000 USD Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
