We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – Claims to oversee and manage a broad portfolio of marine and shipping-related claims. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly perceptive, and capable of navigating complex situations with precision and professionalism.

This is a leadership position offering the opportunity to work closely with global stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and senior management, while also mentoring and developing an internal claims team.

• Handle a wide spectrum of claims: vessel entry, collisions, oil pollution, cargo damage, crew injuries, piracy, and more.
• Maintain strong relationships with IG Clubs, surveyors, and regulatory authorities.
• Assign cases, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with organizational and legal standards.
• Prepare analytical reports, market insights, and board presentations.
• Lead the claims team with a focus on knowledge sharing, process adherence, and continuous improvement.
• Support cross-functional teams in legal and commercial areas including H&M and P&I claims.
• Oversee budget management and internal compliance reporting.
• Ensure staff development and motivation through effective leadership and performance management.

• IG PANDIQ certification (minimum level).
• Degree in Maritime Law or a related qualification from a recognized institution.
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar claims leadership role within the shipping industry.
• Strong understanding of maritime law, insurance protocols, and IG Club guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in claims systems, MS Office, and modern communication tools.
• Ability to manage high-pressure situations and multi-task effectively.
• Experience liaising with senior officials, authorities, and international clients.
