What are your main responsibilities?
As our new Automation Manager, you will lead a team of engineers and project leaders, driving the design and implementation of cutting-edge automation solutions across our operations. Your mission? To boost efficiency, improve quality, and optimize costs by delivering intelligent (semi-)automated systems — from robotics to process control to data-driven technologies.
You’ll be shaping our Automation Roadmap, overseeing strategic investments, and managing high-impact projects, all while collaborating closely with teams in Operations, Engineering, QA, Procurement, and beyond.
As Automation Manager, you will:
- Lead and coach a team of automation engineers and specialists.
- Develop and execute the company-wide Automation Roadmap aligned with business strategy.
- Identify automation opportunities across departments (TCA, MBA, QA, PD&E, etc.).
- Manage budgets, project timelines, and vendor coordination.
- Guide the design, implementation, and optimization of automated systems — including robotics, process control, and data systems.
- Monitor and report automation performance using analytics and KPIs.
- Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of operational automation.
- Ensure all systems comply with safety and quality standards.
What are your skills?
You are a hands-on leader who connects the big picture with day-to-day execution.
You bring:
- A Bachelor's or Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or similar.
- Solid experience in automation and process improvement (preferably in a high-tech environment).
- Proven project and portfolio management skills.
- Strong leadership and team development abilities.
- Knowledge of CE guidelines, process technology, and quality systems.
- Familiarity with emerging automation tech and trends.
- Fluent English (spoken and written); Dutch is a plus.
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
